Disclaimer: This post contains spoilers for the Justice League post-credits scenes.

Audiences who went to see Justice League were treated to not one, but TWO post-credits scenes. The first was a fun, fan fiction-y sort of scene that showed the Flash prepping to face off against Superman in a race to the Pacific ocean. While all good fun, that wasn’t the scene that got fans buzzing.

No, that scene was the next one, which revealed Lex Luthor talking with Deathstroke on a yacht. He was drinking champagne, celebrating Superman’s return, as well as the formation of the Justice League. From there, he suggests that they should form a league of their own, hinting at a villain-driven alliance not unlike the Legion of Doom or Injustice League.

A lot of fans’ big takeaway here, however, had to do with Deathstroke. First revealed via a tweet from actor Ben Affleck, it was implied that he would act as the big bad for the standalone Batman film, and when Affleck stepped down as director, we wondered if that meant that Managniello would be out as Deathstroke. However, if we wanted an answer to our question, we apparently need look no further than a photo Zack Snyder shared with fans last September.

As the folks over at CBR noticed, some shots of Deathstroke were shown in this behind-the-scenes photo.

Did you see it? Let’s have a closer look.

Well, don’t we feel stupid?

  • If the DCEU is gonna survive, they will end all association with Zack Snyder.

  • WTFITBS

Too bad Justice League will most definitely be the last entry in the DCEU. Its like they can’t get one consistent story that makes sense across all the films that are supposed to share the same universe. Also, what was the point of Suicide Squad? It seemed like a wasted entry that could have been better used on a solo Flash, Cyborg or Aquaman film.

Probably the same reason why they feel a Joker/Harley move is the next logical step in their universe.
