When John Wick came out in 2014 it became a sleeper hit. The film came relatively out of nowhere, with Keanu Reeves front-and-center after several years where he was basically out of the public consciousness (seriously, look at his resumé post-2008!). The very straightforward revenge tale- which somewhat humorously hinged on a "You killed my dog!" marketing hook- was a tense, fun, taught, efficient 96 minute thriller. John Wick cost only $20 million and managed to quadruple its budget, while garnering extremely respectable reviews.
So that brings us, of course, to a sequel.
John Wick: Chapter 2 comes out next year, and we're expecting a full trailer at this weekend's New York Comic-Con. For now, you can check out this 17 second trailer teaser, which depicts Reeves back as Wick, getting suited up for another rough-and-tumble night on the town.

As I said, we'll get a full trailer to you soon. It's a matter of days away, but that should hopefully whet the appetite for now.
Reeves won't be alone in John Wick: Chapter 2, as the cast will now be rounded out with many more familiar faces than last time. We're talking Ian McShane, Ruby Rose, Bridget Moynahan, Peter Stormare, John Leguizamo, Laurence Fishburne, Common, and Lance Reddick.
What do you think? Glad to see Keanu going back to the well for John Wick: Chapter 2? Personally, I fear that magic won't strike twice. The first film was a pleasant surprise, and it was a brutally efficient killing machine. With Hollywood's frequent aim to go "bigger" for sequels, I worry that it'll lose that magic.
