My tastes often line up with Kevin Smith’s, especially with superheroes. While the trailer didn’t make me tear up, I, like Kevin Smith and many others, were blown away by it.

For me, the footage lived up to the hype, the table has been being set for some time now, and it is almost time to feast of the culmination of a decade of quality of Marvel movies.

While I was pleasantly surprised by Justice League, I think it would have been better had they built up to the level of villainy that Steppenwolf represents, the same way Marvel has built up to villains that took the entire team of superheroes to defeat, as they did in the first two Avengers movie.

Now, I am not trying to equate Thanos and Steppenwolf, but I think you folks likely get what I am trying to say. The reward of Thanos has taken 10 years, so it feels so much more satisfying, as opposed to Steppenwolf being gifted to us after a few movies.
