KNIGHT RIDER To Be Rebooted For Machinima

KNIGHT RIDER is driving towards a reboot…..again.

Machinima announced it has partnered with YOMYOMF, Justin Lin and NBC Universal to bring the famous 1980s franchise back into the digital medium.

YOMYOMF (YouOffendMeYouOffendMyFamily) and Lin will be producing with a potential launch date next year.

“KNIGHT RIDER is an iconic franchise whose concepts of AI and autonomous vehicles were science fiction in the 1980s and are now science fact, said Machinima CEO Chad Gutstein. “Justin is one of the leading storytellers of his generation and we couldn’t be more excited to work with him on re-invigorating KNIGHT RIDER for a new generation of fans.”

KNIGHT RIDER was rebooted once back in 2008 for television and canceled the same year. That forgettable series starred Mike Traceur, Sarah Graiman and Billy Morgan.

Lin is keeping busy with upcoming projects such as HOT WHEELS, SPACE JAM 2, and an untitled BOURNE film. He is also an executive producer of the television series SCORPION.
