LAFF 2014: Exclusive Interview with Ravi Patel and Geeta Patel in ‘Meet the Patels’

Single? Indian? And still unmarried?

Those are certainly things that Indian parents don’t want to hear about their grown children.

In this fun-loving documentary, it follows Ravi Patel, a nearly 30-year-old Indian-American, in pursuit of love while satisfying his parents and the culture. The film is documented by Geeta Patel, which started as a family vacation video into a full documentary about Ravi’s love life.

“Meet the Patels” made a premiere at the Los Angeles Film Festival this week.

Latino-Review landed an exclusive interview with the brother and sister at the festival. We discussed the origins, Asian culture and of course, their dating lives now.

“Meet the Patels” has one more showing at the LA Film Festival on Thursday at 1:45 p.m.

Watch the interview below.
