Looks like business is picking up when it comes to news about Star Wars: Rogue One. A short while back, we learned that Felicity Jones was cast in the film, then word came that of the official title, and last week we heard who was scoring it. Now we’re hearing whispers of another actor that may be signing on to the Gareth Edwards-directed Star Wars spinoff.
Ben Mendelsohn, who’s currently creating a ton of buzz for himself because of his stellar work on the new Netflix series Bloodline, has been making quite a name for himself. With appearances in The Dark Knight Rises, Exodus: Gods and Kings, and Killing Them Softly, he’s been rubbing elbows with true Hollywood titans and he seems to be impressing the right people. Now the word is that he is circling a lead role in Rogue One.
Nothing is known about the character, or the plot of the film, so there’s no way of knowing what kind of role it is. Everything about Rogue One is shrouded in secrecy for now, but with the way news has been coming out of the production lately, we may be getting more details to work with sooner rather than later.
