Locke & Key Adaptation Casts Jack Mulhern And Danny Glover

Hulu is working on an adaptation of the Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez comic, Locke & Key. According to Deadline, the show has moved forward with a couple of casting decisions as Jack Mulhern has been cast as older sibling, Tyler Locke, and Hollywood veteran Danny Glover will play mentor to the Locke children and English teacher, Joe Ridgeway.

The story of Locke & Key follows the Locke children who after their father’s murder move to a family home in Maine with their mother and soon discover enchanted keys that give them various special powers. Little do the siblings know that lurking in the shadows is another being that desires the mystical keys,

The show is to be directed by everyone’s new favorite director, Andy Muschietti, who this year brought us a wonderful adaptation of Stephen King’s novel, IT. Joe Hill is the son of famed novelist Stephen King, so Muschietti seems to be keeping his adaptations within the family. Carlton Cuse (LOST) is set to executive produce and will also be a show runner.

I hadn’t heard about this story until word of the Hulu adpatation got around to me. I am definitely interested this and will be checking out the pilot.
