While the superhero genre is one that capitalizes on the age-old draw of spectacle, every now and then, you get a film that purposely underplays the action in favor of the emotion at hand. Logan, the third film in the Wolverine-centric trilogy, looks to do just that. The initial trailer was set to the Johnny Cash cover of the song “Hurt,” and the second, while still relatively low-key, it also gave audiences more of an idea of the plot.
This new Super Bowl spot is set to the song “Amazing Grace,” and while it shows a heck of a lot of action (in order to entice those watching the game, no doubt), it still manages to capture the sad and grounded tone of what we think the movie will be.

The official synopsis for Logan is as follows:
“In the near future, a weary Logan cares for an ailing Professor X in a hideout on the Mexican border. But Logan's attempts to hide from the world and his legacy are up-ended when a young mutant arrives, being pursued by dark forces.”
