We may be in for some Kick-Ass and Hit-Girl news in the near future. Comic book writer Mark Millar recently took to Twitter to tease as such, saying:
Right, this brilliance won't write itself. Time to help get a press release together for the big Kick-Ass and Hit-Girl news next week… pic.twitter.com/Z2hxrTgt4B
— Millarworld (@mrmarkmillar) November 9, 2017
But what could this announcement mean? It could be a myriad of things. It could be something to do with the Kick-Ass comic announced last year, but given the image used in his tweet, we’d think otherwise.
Of course, Kick-Ass has already received two film adaptations, so does this announcement have to do with a Kick-Ass film? Those hoping for a Kick-Ass series on Netflix may have to hold their breaths, though. Although Millar sold Millarworld to Netflix, the deal didn’t include Kick-Ass or Kingsman.
With that in mind, it likely has to do with either a new deal outside of Netflix, be it a film or TV. Of course, it’s also very possible that it DOES have to do with the comic, despite the image used. We’ll have to wait until next week to see. Until then, we’ll be sure to keep our ear to the ground!
What do you hope to see out of this announcement? Are you hoping something related more to comic books, film, or TV?
