Without a doubt, everyone on Netflix are flying high on the positive reception surrounding Stranger Things 2. For a follow-up to an already-stellar show, it mostly managed to deliver the experience fans were hoping for.

As far as the future goes for the show, the Duffer Brothers (the series’ creators) have made it clear that their plans will likely last a total of four or five seasons. One of its stars, Millie Bobby Brown, hopes that the show will last on the longer side of things, as she revealed to Variety.

“I would like five seasons, but maybe that’s just being me because I don’t want the show to end ever. But I’m realistic. I’m realistically saying season four, but I hope to go on through season five.”

Indeed while Stranger Things 2 certainly had a pretty happy and satisfying ending, there is a whole lot more to be addressed in the coming seasons. Between the questions behind Eleven’s past, and the fate of the Shadow Monster, they still have many questions left unanswered for fans.

But is it enough to last a full five seasons of television? Perhaps. But if the Duffer Brothers find themselves wanting for inspiration, here’s hoping that they’ll know when to call it quits.
