‘Mission: Impossible 5’ Production Halted Due to Rewrite on Ending

– by Gig Patta

Your mission, should you choose to accept it, involves rewriting the ending to “Mission: Impossible 5.” This message will self-destruct in five seconds.

Paramount had given director Christopher McQuarrie extra time to improve the finale with an unidentified writer since the original movie’s ending was deemed “unsatisfactory.”

Production had already been shut down for more than a week in London. For a big budget film, delays in mid-production will hit the studio’s expenses—especially since the release date is this summer on July 31st.

On the other hand, Paramount went through the similar delayed production process of Brad Pitt’s “World War Z.” In the end, the film garnered over $200 million at the worldwide box office.

For Ethan Hunt, this mission will be very possible.
