New Daddy’s Home 2 Trailer Has More Dads & More Shenanigans

A new trailer for Daddy’s Home 2 has been released. The film is a sequel to last year’s awkward family comedy, Daddy’s Home. The first film saw a showdown between Will Ferrell’s timid Brad Whitaker and Mark Walberg’s Dusty Mayron. This time around the film has added some classic veteran actors, with Mel Gibson playing Dusty’s father and Jon Lithgow playing the father of Ferrell’s Whitaker.

Instead of having to deal with each other’s antics, like in the first movie, new friends, Dusty and Brad will have to find a way to work around their fathers during the holidays. Gibson and Lithgow’s character seem to be another odd couple much in the same way their sons were in the first film, and the comedy setup should pay off nicely. John Cena, who’s character, Roger, first made an unforgettable appearance at the end of the first movie also appears as if he will throw a wrench into the works.

While the outcomes of films like these are usually predictable, the journey getting there is usually a fun one, and one worth the time.

Daddy’s Home 2 is written and directed by Sean Anders, and stars Will Ferrell, Mark Wahlberg, Mel Gibson, and Jon Lithgow, with Linda Cardelini and John Cena.

Daddy’s Home 2 comes to theaters November 10.
