It’s the 4th of July, which for Americans means fireworks, drinks, good food, and good company. Of course, one of the staples of the American Independence Day meal — apart from the burger — is the hot dog. In a cute piece of marketing for the film SAUSAGE PARTY, a recently-released PSA puts things into perspective and urges its viewers to “save the sausages.”

For those unfamiliar with the dark comedy, the morbid premises the story follows the adventures of grocery food items who spend their lives looking forward to the day they would get bought and taken home. Their dreams are shattered, however, when they learn their true purpose — to be slaughtered and eaten alive.

SAUSAGE PARTY is set to ruin your eating habits forever on August 12, 2016.
