Paul Rudd Is Very Happy That Brie Larson Was Cast As CAPTAIN MARVEL

When it was announced that Brie Larson was joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe by taking on the role of Carol Danvers, aka Captain Marvel, many people were very excited by this news. Larson is seen by many as one of the brightest young stars of the current generation. She’s made her mark in films like ROOM, for which she won an Academy Award, and people have high hopes for her. Indeed, it seems like Marvel Studios pulled off a bit of a casting coup by nabbing the talented rising star.

It would appear that Paul Rudd is especially psyched.

The actor, who’s already part of the MCU playing the part of Scott Lang, aka Ant-Man, was asked what he thought about Larson entering the fray and the actor couldn’t be more effusive with his praise.

I love that,” Rudd told Entertainment Tonight about Larson being cast as Captain Marvel. “Love Brie Larson. I think she’s incredible.” Rudd thinks that the MCU, and his fellow AVENGERS cohorts, are quite fortunate to now have the 26 year old actress on the team. “I think we’ve very lucky to have Brie Larson in the fold.
