Scott To Give Us A New Breed of Alien in ‘Prometheus 2’

*SPOILER ALERT! If you have not seen Prometheus, you shouldn’t proceed, as this article contains a spoiler about the final act*

While Prometheus actress Noomi Rapace has stated that we may be seeing God and The Devil in that film’s sequel, director Ridley Scott is out clarifying what we should actually expect. Bloody-Disgusting is reporting that the director has promised that the film will feature an all-new alien creature in the film’s third act.

According to the site, the director had this to say on the subject in a recent chat with The Australian:

Scott says that the series is “getting away from gods and dragons and shit. If I see one more dragon I’m going to shoot myself. Stop the dragons.” He thinks the original Alien creature from the first film is “the definitive dragon and he’s a motherf . . ker. The alien’s real which is why it’s probably one of the scariest monsters in film history. So with Prometheus 2 what I’m trying to do is reintroduce a fresher form of alien in the third act.”

The director also says that the script is finished, and describes it as fresh and really good.

So it looks like those of you that were hoping for something a little newer, and were disappointed with the alien at the end of Prometheus being a little to close to ones we’ve seen before, this news should be right up your alley.
