Sigourney Weaver is getting ready to film not one, not two, but three Avatar sequels. And she'll be doing it, along with James Cameron and company, all in one continuous shoot. How does the veteran actress feel about the back-to-back-to-back production? Overwhelmed, but excited.
Here's what she had to say on the matter, in a brief chat with Vulture:
It's going to be an adventure! It will be awesome. I can't even imagine what I am taking on — and what James Cameron is taking on — with filming three Avatars at once, but ... Peter Jackson did it with the Hobbit films, so we have that to look to.
And how will she keep her portrayal fresh and interesting?
It will be challenging for me. I can't talk about it, but my part is a little different in each one. I'll transform somewhat. We'll have to talk again when I survive this. For now, I'm going to skittle around and enjoy this leisure time.
What do you make of her mentioning a transformation? Does she mean physically? Is it possible her character ends up a villain? What do you think it means?
