Sony Pushes Release Dates Back for’ The Amazing Spider-Man 3’ and ‘Sinister Six’

Rumors of Spidey’s demise at Sony Pictures are greatly exaggerated. It’s just delayed.

Variety reported Sony pushed the dated villain spin-off of “Sinister Six to November 11, 2016, release date. And then pushed back its next key property of “The Amazing Spider-Man 3” to be sometime in 2018 without a specific date.

“The Amazing Spider-Man 4” was slated on May 4, 2018, so that’s obviously isn’t happening now. And moving into the old “The Amazing Spider-Man 3” slot of June 10, 2016, will be the “Uncharted” movie.

With the aggressive push by Marvel Studios, other studio production companies are re-evaluating their comic book movie strategies. The announcement was made on the opening day of San Diego Comic-Con, which may be a hint towards its panels later this week.

Here comes the spider…..just a little bit later.
