Stan Lee Teases New Character In Avengers: Infinity War?

The shared universe built by Marvel over the last 10 years is truly an achievement to…marvel at. However, fans have to wonder what the Marvel Cinematic Universe would have been like had Marvel had the rights to some of their most popular characters.

How would the plan that Kevin Feige put into motion be different if he would have had access to Spider-Man from the outset of Phase 1? When would the X-Men have come into play at if FOX and Marvel could have reached a deal? Would the news of a new Fantastic Four movie actually excite people?

While these are all interesting questions, they’re questions for which fans will never know the answer to. The reality is Feige doesn’t have access to these characters, and yet the MCU is thriving (if it isn’t broke…). However, the deal between Sony and Marvel to more or less share Spider-Man brings fans hope that someday a similar deal may someday be reached between FOX and Marvel. At a Q&A in Des Moines, Iowa, the man behind Marvel, Stan Lee, was asked about Marvel’s orphaned characters.

“We should have all of our characters under Marvel. Remind me on my way home to do something about that. We’ll do our best”

While this was most likely said with jest, of course Lee wants the right to be able to use characters that he created. It is actually quite puzzling why FOX and Marvel haven’t been able to reach a deal that would be mutually beneficial for both companies. Perhaps if Spider-Man turns out to be the success it is expected to be, this will make for easier negotiations, and FOX will see the benefits of being part of the MCU. Lee also hinted at the introduction of a new character or possibly even characters that will appear in Avengers: Infinity War, and will be pleasing to fans.

That wasn’t all Lee had to say. According to the report from Gamezone, Lee also started to hint at a new major character would be introduced in the upcoming superhero team-up flick — someone who’s likely NOT an orphan character. However, his assistant was too fast, and whispered into Lee’s ear, bringing all discussion to a halt. Darn.

Would you like to see Marvel’s other characters come home?
