As the next Star Wars anthology, the yet to be titled Han Solo movie, continues through the film making process we get another photo via Twitter from the film’s director, Ron Howard. The photo is actually of Ron Howard himself, sitting in front of a monitor, and by the tweets caption, we know he is checking a camera. This photo is the latest in a series of images from the set released by the director.

What is actually going on in the scene on the monitor that Howard is looking at is anyone’s guess, even zooming in, the only thing I could really make out was one of the people in the shot was an alien. With all the drama that recently surrounded the film before Howard came in and took over the project, perhaps the veteran director just wants the fans to be reassured that everything will be smooth sailing from here on out. His series of photos are comforting updates to let us fans the film is now in good hands, even after changing directors after four months of shooting.
Howard is an Oscar winning director and has been in Hollywood nearly all his life. Bringing in a director with his experience and reputation was key to getting the film back on track. Howard came aboard after the original directors, Chris Miller and Phil Lord were taken off the project due to creative differences. It was said that the previous directors, Chris Miller and Phil Lord, who come from a comedic background, relied too much on improvisation of the actors lines. This was in opposition to the film’s writer, Lawrence Kasdan, who is more of a read what I wrote type of guy. Kasdan is known for writing Raiders of the Lost Ark and The Empire Strikes Back.
