Star Wars: The Last Jedi – John Boyega Confirms Cameos of Prince William, Prince Harry And Tom Hardy

It seems as if at least two members of the royal family are huge fans of a galaxy far far away. Confirmation of their cameos for Star Wars: The Last Jedi came through today via FN-2187 himself, known in the real world as John Boyega. According to Boyega. Prince Harry, Prince William, and actor Tom Hardy all filmed cameos for the next installment of the franchise. Boyega confirmed their roles this morning while speaking with BBC Radio 4 this morning.

“I’ve had enough with those secrets. They came on set. They were there. I’m sick of hiding it. I think it was leaked, anyway. There were images. Every time I get asked, I have to dodge it. I’m tired of dodging it. They were there. So was Tom Hardy.”

It was last April when royalty graced the set of the film at Pinewood Studios in England.  Around the same time, a source was quoted by The Daily Mail as saying Harry and William filmed a scene with Rey, Finn, and Benicio Del Toro’s character, DJ, at a secret base. The trio is located by a group of Stormtroopers with two of them being Prince William and Prince Harry. The source made no mention of Hardy, but keeping par for the course anyone recognizable that is making a cameo has been under the helmet of a Stormtrooper, so it is safe to assume Hardy will be as well.

While this isn’t a major spoiler about the plot, with the way Disney is about Star Wars secrets, Boyega seems to be playing fast and loose with the information. Star Wars: The Force Awakens had a number of cameos, among others, they included, Greg Grunberg (LOST, Heroes), and most famously, Daniel Craig as the Stormtrooper that Rey Jedi mind tricked into releasing her from capture.
