Star Wars: The Last Jedi New TV Spot Puts Focus On Rey and Luke

We are Certainly getting into the heavy marketing phase now for Star Wars: The Last Jedi, with this being the 10th TV spot to be released recently and more than likely not the last.

I must say I have been trying to stay away from most of these as I don’t want to know much more at this point, but I did catch the above newest TV spot (as they can be hard to avoid) and I was intrigued with some new Rey and Luke moments among the many reused shots from other TV spots and trailers.

Notice that Rey senses “something beyond the dark and the light,” which seems to shock Luke. If Lucasfilm are not pushing this down a grey Force user path, then they are doing a great job of misleading us in all the promotional materials. Whether this is the right direction for the franchise will be debated endlessly by fans, unless we are being mislead deliberately?

What do you think of the new TV spot? Do you agree with me that the grey foreshadowing is apparent, or are you just refusing to watch anything else until the film finally gets to give up its secrets?

Star Wars: The Last Jedi hits theaters on December 15, 2017.
