Star Wars: The Last Jedi – New TV Spot Shows More Porg

A new TV spot for Star Wars: The Last Jedi has been released. The preview begins with that awesome scene of Luke being reacquainted with the Millennium Falcon,  and then moves to mostly scenes we have seen in other spots. There is a new piece of footage involving a shot of Chewbacca and a porg sitting in the Falcon’s cockpit. We have seen the adorable little guy yell in a few different spots and trailers, but this exclamation by the little guy is different and  we see Chewy playfully push him aside, as if to say, “Easy with that kid, I’m kinda busy over here.”

Some may take this as Chewy being kind of a jerk, but I don’t see it that way. As long as we have known the Chewbacca the Wookiee, he has never shown an affinity for cruelty. I like to think that while Chewy is a total badass, he does have a softer side and a good heart. I think Chewy pushing the porg away was really just him messing with his new little friend and wasn’t meant to be mean to the cute little creature.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi hits theaters December 15.
