We’re a few short weeks from the release of the second season of the Netflix original series Stranger Things. Naturally, we’re all getting in the spirit of both the series and Halloween. What better way than to dress up as our favorite characters?

Well, it was bound to happen, but it looks like someone has done the unimaginable. Twitter user Variable Cosplay found one disturbing costume in the form of — get this — a sexy Eleven costume. Yeah… that’s right. Apparently Eleven wasn’t enough. Some costume manufacturer felt the need to hike up those socks and shorten the dress.

Check it out down below:

Yeah…so that’s a thing. I suppose the Eggo purse is a nice touch, but good lord. I suppose we can expect nothing more when companies manage to make sexy hamburger costumes and sexy Ted costumes (from the movie Ted — no kidding, look that up). That being said, the creep factor on this one is certainly amplified by the fact that this is an adolescent child we’re talking about here.

Clearly, nothing is sacred on Halloween.

Stranger Things hits Netflix on October 27, 2017

I just puked in my mouth a little.
BTW, Any sexy Cronenberg costumes? Oh wait, that was me 2 years ago for halloween 😉

So it’s just the same sized dress but worn by a woman a foot taller than the actress?

  • Ditko

I’m sorry but…how is that sexy? You have problems, man.

  • GeneralKael

    That’s. Just. Wrong.

There are inappropriately sexy costume versions of all kinds of characters like Wednesday Addams, Lisa Simpson and Hermione Granger. And those are waaaaaay worse. But one person gets mad at this one on Twitter, and now every friggin’ site has to report it?

The ABC article cites “some critics on social media” as the source of “backlash.” Well, let me stop everything. Someone’s mad on the Internet?

I just hate when journalists get desperate and stir up stories out of nothing without even bothering to provide perspective and context. This is how BS gains momentum.

Yes, the costume is in poor taste. But publicizing it just made it that much more popular. People who hate it were never going to buy it. But now it’s controversial, and I guarantee the follow up story will be something about the retailer selling out of the outfit.

And then the inevitable roaming packs of cannibalistic pedophiles will start, which will lead to instating the Purge for real. That lawlessness will lead to nuclear war, and then I have to learn how to build a Mad Max car and wear one shoulder pad. Thanks a lot, media!

  • Brafdorf

Yeah not sexy at all. This looks normal

  • Jeedai Infidel

Well, slow movie news days were bound to happen after finally getting the Last Jedi trailer.

I think it’s okay, you just have to go with someone dressed up like Harvey Weinstein to make it believable.

Aside from a very modest neckline I see virtually no difference in this than the actual character’s outfit. The woman wearing it is sexy however. Is that not allowed now too?
