SDCC 2016: ‘SUICIDE SQUAD’ Toys Reveal Killer JOKER/BATMAN Twist From Film

By several accounts, the toys from WB/DC’s SUICIDE SQUAD that are being shown at San Diego Comic-Con are ripped straight from the screen. That’s what makes what I’m about to share with you so interesting. A couple of the figures being shown seem to reveal that Jared Leto’s The Joker will be donning a very special costume in order to get under the skin of Ben Affleck’s Batman.

It should go without saying that these photos/figures act as a *SPOILER* so don’t proceed unless you don’t mind!!

.

Okay, so…

There are not one, but two action figures from SUICIDE SQUAD that depict the Clown Prince of Crime all decked out as the Dark Knight of Gotham. Check them out right here:

While it’s not uncommon for movie-based action figures to feature alternate versions of the heroes an villains, according to Birth Movies Death, SUICIDE SQUAD‘s toys were all representative of stuff we’ve seen in the film’s trailers. Also, this kind of thing where they mash-up two characters isn’t par for the course. Alternate versions are usually suped-up versions of the characters (“Aqua Blast Superman!” “Meteor Smashing Batman!”) in that film.

So we definitely now have reason to believe that we’r going to glimpse Leto in this warped, whacked-out Batman costume.

Guess we’ll find out for sure when SUICIDE SQUAD comes out on August 5.
