The Joker has done some horrific things in the DC Universe, could there be an even darker version of the character out there? Thanks to DC’s big event of the year Dark Nights: Metal, it looks like the answer is yes. At this year’s San Diego Comic Con six of the seven evil versions of Batman were revealed in an amazing image by Riccardo Federici. But there was one evil version of Batman that was obviously missing, The Batman Who Laughs.
Last week DC Comic’s revealed the cover to Dark Nights: Metal #5 by Greg Capullo that gave us our first look at The Batman Who Laughs. This character from the Dark Multiverse will be making his debut in next months Dark Night: Metal #2 which will be at comic shops everywhere on September 13th. Check out the image below!
This week we got a look at some of the interior pages of DC’s Teen Titans #12 which will be a tie-in to Dark Nights: Metal called “Gotham Resistance”. In this issue we learn that The Batman Who Laughs also has his set of Robins that he seems to walk around like pets. The interior artwork in this book is done by Mirka Andolfo. Check out the image below!
Like the other Dark Knights of the Dark Universe, The Joker Who Laughs will also get a one shot tie-in issue that will be released on November 15th. DC has also released the cover to that book that features The Batman Who Laughs and his Robins. The terrifying artwork for this cover is done by my favorite artist at DC Jason Fabok. Take a look at the cover below!
With a three different artist creating their take on the character Riccardo Federici, the artist as we mentioned in the begining responsible for the artwork of the evil Batmen released at Comic-Con, completed the set of the Dark Knights with this great image of the seventh evil Batman.
The two prelude issues and first issue of DC’s Dark Nights: Metal have delivered pleanty of surprises so far. I cannot wait to see this character’s introduction into the story and see how he uses those Robins. What do you think of The Batman Who Laughs? Give us your opinion below!
DC’s Dark Nights: Metal #2 hits shelves September 13th.
