A clever new promo from Marvel Studios for Doctor Strange depicts star Benedict Cumberbatch diagnosing the injuries and problems of his fellow Marvel heroes. In the video, which you can see below, Doctor Strange plays up his role as a physician as he analyzes some key moments from Captain America: Civil War. 

We all know that Doctor Strange is going to bring the Sorcerer Supreme into the same sandbox that includes heroes like Captain America, Iron Man, and Black Panther. This promo gives us our first tiny taste of what it’ll be like to have him in the same shared world as his Marvel brethren.

I’ll say that I’m a bit disappointed that he did this out-of-character, complete with his natural accent. I was kind of hoping we’d see him as Stephen Strange diagnosing his fellow heroes in his own arrogant, narcissistic way. 

But still, it’s an effective little clip that should help casual filmgoers who might not realize that the very different, very trippy-looking Doctor Strange is set in the same world as the popular Captain America and Avengers movies.
