Disclaimer: This article contains spoilers for Season 2 of CW’s series The Flash.
The finale for Season 2 of The Flash threw a lot of people for a loop when Barry decided (apparently on a whim) to go back in time and save his mother — thereby preventing the very event that shaped his very existence as a character. It was with that ambitious moment that The CW entered the realm of Flashpoint, a storyline well known to comic book fans.
One of the repercussions of his actions seems to be the existence of Kid Flash, another speedster who, in Barry’s normal world, was just regular old Wally West (albeit a Wally West who loves fast things).
Recently, CW shared a series of photos from the premiere of this season, but now Jeremy Simser, one of the storyboard artists of the show, has posted a side-by-side post of his storyboard next to one of the shots.
Check it out below!

Obviously, this isn’t really a reveal of any sort, but it’s always cool to see extra steps in the process that bring everything together. What do you think of the storyboard? Pretty cool, huh? Especially how closely the crew was able to get the shot to replicate it.

The Flash returns to the CW on October 4, 2016.
