The Hype For 'Furious 7' Begins: Trailer Coming Soon

– by LRM

Universal Pictures has begun hyping the 7th film in their blockbuster Fast & Furious franchise. They're set to debut the official trailer for the film in a star-studded event on Saturday, November 1st. The cast will be there, and fans are able to buy tickets for the event. They're also asking for your social media participation by requesting that fans send questions and videos to #FURIOUS7 for a chance to have them replied to by the stars and filmmakers themselves.

It's been a long, winding road for the production- which was rocked by the sudden, tragic death of Paul Walker on November 30 of last year- but it looks like the studio is finally ready to pull back the curtain and offer audiences a glimpse of what the film will look like. Not only did the filmmakers have to take advantage of cutting edge technology to work around Walker's passing, but the film has a series newcomer in the director's chair in the form of James Wan. Wan, known for horror films, is taking over for Justin Lin- who almost singlehandedly took a series that was fizzling out and turning it into a massively popular franchise. So there are a few reasons to pay attention to how this film turns out.

Furious 7 is set to premiere on April 3 of 2015.

Continuing the global exploits in the unstoppable franchise built on speed, Vin Diesel, Paul Walker and Dwayne Johnson lead the returning cast of  Furious 7.  James Wan directs this chapter of the hugely successful series that also welcomes back favorites Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Elsa Pataky and Lucas Black.  They are joined by international action stars new to the franchise including Jason Statham, Djimon Hounsou, Tony Jaa, Ronda Rousey and Kurt Russell.  Neal H. Moritz, Vin Diesel and Michael Fottrell return to produce the film written by Chris Morgan
