With X-MEN: APOCALYPSE coming out in a mere three weeks, Fox has already set its sights on one of its next mutant smackdowns. While there's been plenty of chatter lately about films like DEADPOOL 2 and X-MEN: THE NEW MUTANTS, Fox has quietly been ramping up production on THE WOLVERINE III. The film, directed by James Mangold, will be Hugh Jackman's swan song as the clawed superhero he first brought to the screen in 2000's X-MEN. It was recently revealed that Stephen Merchant and Eriq La Salle had joined the cast, and now comes word of someone else getting in on the action.
Variety is reporting that Elise Neal, a veteran of TV and film, has joined the cast of THE WOLVERINE III.
Neal's previous credits include HUSTLE & FLOW, SCREAM 2, THE HUGHLEYS, and X-MEN: THE LAST STAND director Brett Ratner's MONEY TALKS.
As of now, nothing is really known about the film's plot, or who she'll be playing. All we know is that the movie will look to tackle some of the themes and ideas from the iconic OLD MAN LOGAN books.
THE WOLVERINE III is set for a March 3, 2017 release.
