Tom Hanks To Star In Robot Post-Apocalyptic Film Bios From Game Of Thrones Director

Yahoo! is reporting that Tom Hanks will be set to star in a film called Bios. The film has been making the rounds around Tinsel Town for the past month or so, and it has Game of Thrones director Miguel Sapochnik at the helm.

Yahoo! describes the film as follows:

“Penned by Craig Luck and Ivor Powell, the story follows a robot that lives on a post-apocalyptic Earth. Built to protect the life of his dying creator’s beloved dog, it learns about life, love, friendship, and the meaning of human life. Hanks will play the ailing creator.”

Craig Luck is a relatively new writer in the industry, so it’s difficult to know whether or not this is a solid script, but it is worth pointing out that while he’s relatively new as a screenwriter, he has made the rounds in some Marvel films as a crew member. Ivor Powell is someone with an interesting film history. He too is new to the writing game, but he’s produced such high profile Ridley Scott films as Blade Runner and Alien.

The film has yet to be picked up (Legendary, Warner Bros., and Studio 8 are reportedly in the mix), but once it is, it’s set to shoot in 2018.
