Top Comics To Pick Up This Wednesday!

It’s the end of the month so that must mean one thing.  A pretty slow week before we get some exciting titles and stories for October.  I was able to pick 5 comics that I think will have some potential this week.  In no particular order I listed the comics I will be picking up.

X-MEN ’92 (2015) #4

Based off of everyones favorite Saturday morning 90’s cartoon.  Writers Bowers and Sims continue the same vibe as the cartoon show and re-introduce us to some of our favorite X-Men universe characters

Cover Artist: Pepe Larraz

• Professor X—Face to faces with the X-Sentinel! • Can the X-Men overcome Cassandra Nova’s “rehabilitations”?

SUPERMAN #44

Finally this is the end of the “Truth” arc.  I don’t know if anyone is with me on this but I am ready for Superman going back to having superpowers and kicking but.  This has been an intriguing series but nothing to go crazy over.  The saving grace is having Romita Jr. and Janson doing the artwork for this series.

The epic “Truth” arc reaches its finale as the Daily Planet and its staff may be the first casualties of Clark’s identity being revealed!

NEW SUICIDE SQUAD ANNUAL #1

I will give DC comics credit that they are really putting their best effort out with anything Suicide Squad.

Art by:Philippe Briones

Cover by:Juan Ferreyra

Written by:Sean Ryan

The “Monters” storyline concludes in epic fashion when the League splinter group prepares to unleash a secret weapon deadlier than anyone could have imagined.  Can the Suicide Squad stop it?  Do they even want to?

SPAWN #256

This top pick from Image comics is a kind of a nostalgic pick than anything else.  Anytime there is an opportunity to pick up a Spawn book, I will be there

Story: Todd McFarlane

Art: Jonboy and Szymon Kudranski

Spawn makes a decision that will change the game for everyone.

Surface Tension #5

This is my new comic series from Titan-Comis.  Jay Gunn seems to have done it again with this series

Creator: Jay Gunn

Jay Gunn’s creator-owned thriller draws to an unforgettable close, as Megumi and Ryan – forever changed by their experiences inside the alien coral – battle on behalf of what’s left of humanity. As the island of Breith comes under sustained assault from the sea, as the final day for humanity dawns at last, these two flawed, troubled people must decide whether we are worth saving…! Is there hope for a new beginning… or will we be washed beneath the waves?

Sound off in the comment section which ones you are going to pick up.
