When it was announced that the cult hit TV show Twin Peaks was getting revived by Showtime, fans rejoiced. The project has garnered plenty of buzz, especially because series creators David Lynch and Mark Frost are returning to write the series. Lynch will also direct all of the episodes, and he’ll be working with several original cast members- including Kyle MacLachlan.
Well, now the project is capitalizing on that buzz by adding Amanda Seyfried to its cast. This will mark Seyfried’s return to series television following her work in HBO’s Big Love from 2006-2011. The actress has otherwise been known for her work in films like Mamma Mia!, Les Miserable, Lovelace, and A Million Ways To Die In The West. TVLine is reporting that she’ll be playing a pivotal new character, the details of which are being kept tightly under wraps.
You excited about the present-day continuation of Twin Peaks? Does the addition of Seyfried to the cast add or detract from your interest? Discuss.
