When And Where Is DC’s ‘Suicide Squad’ Filming?

Folks yearning for more intel on WB/DC’s upcoming Suicide Squad movie now have a little something to chew on. No, there isn’t any definitive casting news yet. The same rumored list is floating around, with names like Will Smith, Tom Hardy, Jared Leto, Margot Robbie, and Jai Courtney on it. What we do know now, thanks to a report by Global News is when and where the production will be taking place.

According to the outlet, David Ayer has selected the city of Toronto, as well as its Pinewood Toronto Studios to house the high profile DC project. The film will reportedly shoot from mid-April of 2015, until August of that year- which will allow ample time for post-production leading up to its August 5, 2016 release.

While exact details regarding the plot of Suicide Squad remain shrouded in mystery, it will presumably tell the core tale of a group of villains forced to team up for a suicide mission in exchange for reduced prison sentences. The film will include characters such as Harley Quinn, Deadshot, and- to the chagrin of many fans- The Joker.
