Andrew Lincoln Says Resources In The Walking Dead Are Dwindling Down

The ninth season of AMC’s The Walking Dead is just a few months away. the upcoming season will be a bittersweet time as stars Lauren Cohan and Andrew Lincoln will be leaving the show. The show will also feature a jump in time, as many of you are already aware. Lincoln, who has played Rick Grimes on the show since its inception, recently spoke with Entertainment Weekly, and talked about how things such as food and transportation will be different for this season.

“The world is deteriorating. Food is scarce, the Hilltop’s the main sort of food source, communications are breaking down, we don’t have gas anymore and we’re on horseback, and we’ve run out of bullets. So there is an enormous pressure on this group.”

Once the food supply starts to go, quickly will the idea of a civilized society. When people get hungry, things can get really nasty, really fast. It definitely seems as the show runners are working toward an end, whether it be this upcoming season or the next (there hasn’t been no official end announced). And if you’ve read any of the other articles I’ve written about TWD, you well know I think the timing is right. I say let the show end while there is still a glimpse of the greatness it once had in the early days of its run.
