Yesterday, the world got a brand new trailer for Michael Bay’s Transformers: Age of Extinction. But that’s not all. The marketers for the film have also unleashed a viral website to help spread the word: www.TransformersAreDangerous.com
As of right now, the site only has one thing going on. It presents us with this image:
Aside from that, all we get are social media links and an invitation to Sign Up- presumably for further updates. If I were to venture a guess, in the months leading up to the film’s June 27 release the site will be used as an in-character PSA-style website warning the world about what a menace the Transformers are.
What do you make of the image? Personally, since I’ve never followed any incarnation of this Hasbro property, I can’t even attempt to make out what that’s supposed to be a picture of. Is it cool? I have no idea. Enlighten me in the comments below!
Transformers: Age of Extinction will see Michael Bay return to the cash cow franchise for a 4th entry, this time with Mark Wahlberg starring.
