News came a while back that fans would be receiving a prequel to one of the greatest shows of all time, The Sopranos. The prequel will be titled The Many Saints of Newark and is now set to be directed by Alan Taylor. Taylor is no stranger to the Sopranos franchise as he has directed a number of episodes for the show in four out of the six seasons, and even won an Emmy for his work back in 2007.

Many credit The Sopranos as being responsible for this golden age of television we all enjoy which has given viewers such shows as Dexter, The ShieldThe Wire, and of course Game of Thrones. I definitely remember it being one of the first “must watch” shows, but personally, I would credit Seinfeld as also being a major player in proving the unlikeable character concept, as most of the characters on that show were awful people, yet we couldn’t get enough.
