Whether you love, hate, or just do not care about Solo: A Star Wars Story, many fans agree that Alden Ehrenreich is a good actor. Admittedly, Ehrenreich’s performance in Solo is good, but Disney put him in a tough spot to live up to a character with so much legacy. Personally, Han Solo begins and ends at Harrison Ford.
That being said, I would be open to seeing the Solo story wrapped up in another film. Maybe they would get it right this time (and not switch directors four months into shooting). In a recent interview with Esquire, Alden Ehrenreich was asked if he would return to play Han Solo.
“It depends on what it is. It depends on how it’s done. It depends if it feels innate to the story.”

Good answer. I wish he could convince those in the writer’s room at Disney to approach stories like this, particularly with writers touching Star Wars. Also, Ehrenreich does not flat out say no, so I’m betting if Disney would ask, he would break out his Corellian jeans in a heartbeat. Is there any word on a Solo sequel? Unfortunately, Ehrenreich did not have any news to report.
“No, I don’t know anything about that. I mean, you know, I think our movie was kind of the last of the conventional-era Star Wars movie release time.”
However, Ehrenreich threw Solo fans a little bone.
“I’ve heard soooome stuff, but nothing concrete.”
Once again, that is not a no. A Solo sequel is sounding more and more likely to happen.
