All That Being Revived By Nickelodeon With Kenan Thompson As Executive Producer

Forget cocaine. Nostalgia is a hell of a drug, and it’s a drug the entertainment business is willing to deal out on a yearly basis. There’s a reason we’ve gotten revivals like Fuller House and Carmen Sandiego (by the way, you should watch the new Netflix animated series…it’s solid) in the past several years. Studios and networks know we’ll buy it, and you know what? I’m not completely against it most of the time. If it’s something I was in love with as a kid, why not, right?

Well, we have yet another revival to look forward to. Variety is announcing that Nickelodeon will be bringing back the sketch comedy series All That. This was a show that helped define the ’90s and ’00s, and was one of the series that helped Saturday Night Live star Kenan Thompson become a household name (one of the sketches, “Good Burger,” even went on to be a full feature film). And speaking of which, Thompson will be executive producing the show, and will likely be making appearances, along with some older cast members.

“It means everything to me,” Thompson told the outlet. “It was my first job that I ever had. It gave me an opportunity.”

“The sketch comedy show “stayed in the zeitgeist for many years,” Brian Robbins, president of Nickelodeon, added. “People are really fond of it.”

You can count me as one of those people. But forget All That. Where the hell is my Legends of the Hidden Temple revival?
