Amazon’s Jack Ryan Series Releases Its Final Trailer

John Krasinski has come a long way since his days on NBC’s The Office. While spending nine seasons as the sarcastic paper salesman Jim Halpert who falls for receptionist Pam Beesly (Jenna Fischer), Krasinski also appeared in films like Jarhead, The Holiday, License To Wed, Leatherheads, Away We Go, and Promised Land. When The Office ended in 2013, Krasinski went on to show he was more than just comedy. In 2016, he sported a full beard, dropped from 25% body fat to 8% and delivered, for lack of a better term, a badass performance in 13 Hours.

2018 has become the year where Krasinski shows his full creative talent. Earlier in the year, he wrote, directed and starred alongside his wife Emily Blunt in the critically-acclaimed box office success A Quiet Place. Now, the end of August brings us the premiere of Amazon Prime’s Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan, a series inspired by the popular novel series and film franchise.

Yesterday, with the series just two weeks away, Amazon released the final trailer for the series. The series is created by Carlton Cuse (Lost, The Strain, Bates Motel) and Graham Roland (Prison Break, Fringe, Almost Human) and seems to promise a mix of intense action and emotional storytelling in the world of counterterrorism in the CIA. In this writer’s opinion, Krasinski has proven himself as a versatile talent both behind and in front of the camera. Taking on the role of Ryan should just add to Krasinski’s ever-growing résumé in what is expected to be an engaging series.

Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan premieres on Amazon Prime on August 31st.
