Ant-Man And The Wasp Cast List Reveals Possible New Villain

Disclaimer, possible mild Spoilers for Ant-Man and the Wasp in the article below.

Ant-Man and the Wasp will be here before you know it, the movie is released domestically on July 6. However, those of us in Europe (like me) are not getting the movie in theaters till August 3 due to the World Cup. Although I am a keen fan of football (or as you know it, soccer), this bums me out big time. How in the hell am I supposed to avoid spoilers for a whole month doing my job?

Well, since I am going to spoiled anyway, I guess I should embrace it. The official cast list for Ant-Man and the Wasp has been revealed and it certainly provides a hint that a classic Ant-Man villain could be showing up in the sequel.

Here is a tweet from Stitch Kingdom showing the complete list.

The name to notice here is Elihas Starr, who will be played by Michael Cerveris (The Good Wife). Elihas Starr was known in the comics by the alter ego Egghead. Egghead was a villain obsessed with discovering the secret to Hank Pym’s scientific breakthrough. When we add this to the fact that director Peyton Reed has hinted at there being another villain other than Ghost, it’s quite possible that Egghead or Starr as I am sure they will refer to him, could be the big bag behind the scenes.

However, I don’t think this is the big bad Reed was referring to. If I had to guess, and I will, I’d say Egghead could be shown to be an antagonist from the past of Hank Pym. Instead, I have a funny feeling that Lawrence Fishburne’s Goliath will be revealed to have been working against our heroes in this movie. If you want to know my reasons why I feel this, please feel free to check the related section below.

I could, of course, be wrong and Elihas Starr is the one working to control Ghost from the shadows, unfortunately, you will all find out the answer to this question much earlier than me (violins playing).
