Pepper Potts has been looking suspicious for quite some time. Back when they were first shooting Avengers 4, some photos came out of her wearing the typical “pajamas” you can expect from a mostly-CG character like Iron Man, Cyborg, or Spider-Man. But it was very much a non-Pepper Potts-like look Gwyneth Paltrow was sporting. She has, after all, in the past been a mostly-grounded character (save for her stint as an Extremis victim).

But due to the secretive nature of the production, we could only speculate that she’d perhaps don some of Tony’s armor. Not too long ago, we also saw some action figure concept art, and in it, it showed off what looked like a female version of Iron Man. Too good to be true? Nay, I say. As it turns out, that’s exactly what it was, as revealed in a new behind-the-scenes photo of Paltrow.

I’m totally for being skeptical about news that randomly pops up on the web, but not only does this resemble the figure concept art we saw recently, but unless this is a bang-up photoshop job, this looks to be as good of a confirmation as we can get that Pepper Potts will be suiting up.

We obviously don’t know the circumstances of plot moving forward after Avengers: Infinity War, but no matter what, it looks like Pepper will be playing a key role in it. Not bad for a character we thought would slowly be Jane Foster’d out of existence from the MCU just a few short years ago.
