Avengers: Infinity War – Chris Hemsworth Says There Are Actually 76 Characters In The Film!

We all know Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers 4 were going to be massive, but apparently we’ve been undercutting the actual number of characters in the film, even though the number was already said to be impossibly high.

The Toronto Sun had a discussion with Chris Hemsworth, your “Lord of Thunder”… or “God of Thunder” rather, and he shared how massive the project really was:

“They’re going to be massive/ I finished literally two days ago and I looked at (directors) Joe and Anthony (Russo) and said, ‘I don’t know how you guys have gotten this far and I don’t know how you’re going to hold it together and complete this thing, but my hat’s off to you.’”

See? “Massive.”

Now, both upcoming Avengers films are in very capable hands, with Joe and Anthony Russo already knocking it out of the park with Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Captain America: Civil War, but can they really manage 76 cast members?

That’s right, Hemsworth confirmed that there are 76 cast members in the film, more or less:

“This is one of the biggest things in film history and to be a part of it was just incredible. I think what these characters are about to face — with Thanos — there’s been nothing quite like it. There are 76 cast members or something like that. I think what people are going to be excited about is what I was excited about and that’s Thor meeting the Guardians and Iron Man meeting Doctor Strange.”

But, will it blow us away Mr. Hemsworth?

“The interactions between all of these characters and the different sorts of chemistry and the relationships that are formed is something that people are going to be pretty blown away by.”

There you have it, a “massive” production with “76 cast members or something like that” that will cause us to get “pretty blown away by.” I am down! May 4th can’t arrive soon enough!

Is 76 cast members too many? Do you think the Russos are up to the challange? Let us know in the comment section below!

Avengers: Infinity War hits the big screen May 4, 2018 with Avengers 4 following in May 2019.
