With an astounding 20 plus movies planned for for the Marvel Cinematic Universe after Avengers 4, it appears as if we will have Marvel movies for years to come. Frequent directors in the MCU are brothers Joe and Anthony Russo, but their time with studio is nearing an end, as after the fourth Avengers movie, set for release in 2019, the brothers will no longer be involved.
One half of the sibling team, Anthony Russo, recently spoke with Vanity Fair about the MCU after this current phase is wrapped up.
“We’re not participating in any thought whatsoever about what happens after these movies. So we know who we’re allowed to kill, and that’s about it. I don’t even think Marvel had any ideas about where they would go after [Avengers 3 and 4]. It’s not an end for all of these characters; it’s an end for some of these characters. So some of these characters will go on. So it’s more complicated, that’s why it’s not a clean ending.”

With their recently announced plans it is safe to say that Marvel has a pretty good idea where their universe is headed, and if the Russo’s have limits on who they can kill, then, that means some of our heroes will indeed be killed off in the next two Avengers movies.
I do wish the Russo brothers would continue to make Marvel movies as they have been responsible for some of my favorite films.
