In news that comes to the surprise of virtually no one, the trailer for Avengers: Infinity War, which premiered yesterday on Good Morning America, has broken a big record.
According to Marvel themselves, the trailer has set the record for the most viewed trailer of all time within a 24-hour span. The number they hit was a whopping 230 million views. Check out the official tweet below!

The film that last broke the record for the most viewed trailer in 24 hours was this year’s IT. The trailer hit the web on March 29 of 2017 and quickly garnered a ridiculous 197 million views. In all honesty, the question here has less to do with Avengers: Infinity War and more to do with IT.
We get how Avengers: Infinity War pulled off its numbers. It’s one of the films that serves as the culmination of 10 years of films, character development, and ridiculous, otherworldly threats. Plus, it serves as a legit introduction to Thanos, one of the craziest villains ever put to panel. IT on the other hand was just a small horror movie based on a(n admittedly) successful novel.
