One of the most beloved Batman adaptations of all time, Batman: The Animated Series was recently released on Blu-Ray,  and as the show comes to a new generation of fans, us that grew up with it get to revisit and reminisce about what made the show so great. The show also received the treatment of an Honest Trailer from the ScreenJunkies. If this wonderful bit has somehow eluded you up until this point, and Honest Trailer, sort of, as LRM‘s Cam Clark would say, “takes the piss,” out of different films and television shows.

Whether the content is celebrated or hated, an Honest Trailer is in many ways a right of passage nowadays. If we love a particular film or TV series, it’s still fun to have fun poked at it, and if we don’t like the content, it’s even more fun to watch the ScreenJunkies tear it a new one.

Easily my favorite show as a kid. While it was animated, it was very much an adult show. The theme and elements the series dealt with were darker and more complex than anything else available to me at the time (at least until my family got a satellite dish). It was definitely the “water cooler” show for kids my age.
