Between Two Ferns Becoming A Netflix Movie

Not every idea out there should become a movie. But that’s never stopped Hollywood in the past. Their approach has led to such fiascos as It’s Pat, The Emoji Movie, and The LEGO Movie. Oh, wait, that last one was actually pretty good, and kinda throws a wrench into the whole idea of “not everything deserves to be a movie.” Regardless, it was an odd idea, but still not the weirdest one out there.

Perhaps something that can take the cake is Between Two Ferns. This was a web series starring comedian Zach Galifianakis that featured him interviewing famous people while sitting (you guessed it) between two ferns. The interviews were always odd and awkward and often incredibly funny, but not exactly prime material for a feature. Well, according to The Playlist, we’re getting one anyway, courtesy of Netflix.

There is no word as to what the film would be structured like. Will it be a narrative feature or more of a mockumentary-style one? It’s a good question, and one I definitely want answered. Luckily, we won’t have to wait too long, because, in true Netflix fashion, it’s coming out sooner rather than later.

What do you think of Netflix turning Between Two Ferns into a movie? Is this It’s Pat all over again, or The LEGO Movie? I mean, I guess it could be neither, but that’s no fun…let us know your thoughts down below!
