Birds Of Prey: Cassandra Cain Actress (Accidentally?) Reveals The DC Movie Is Filming

When DC goes, they go hard. There are some projects they work on that can’t seem to see the light of day, no matter how hard or how long they develop it (The Batman, for instance, has been in development for 1,500 years), but when they find something they want, they push it through fast and before you know it, they’re in front of cameras. This seems to be the case with some of their more recent films, most notably Birds of Prey (or the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn).

Earlier this week, it was rumored that this film would be beginning production early on in the week, not too long after actress Margot Robbie shared the full title of the potentially-R-rated flick. But there’s no way we’d get an immediate confirmation from one of the actresses on this, right? Well, it turns out we were wrong. Ella Jay Basco, who is playing Cassandra Cain in the film, took to social media to share this:

“1st day of principle photography 4 BOP & I can’t post anything but I can tell you about my little brother & sister #teambasco #deuce #emerson”

Apparently, she can’t even tell us about her little brother and sister, though, because this tweet has since been removed. Luckily, the internet is forever, and we were able to see what she’d written, though it’s not a whole lot apart from a confirmation that the movie is underway.

The details on this film are actually sparse apart from some key details surrounding the cast and characters involved. Of course, we know Cassandra Cain will be involved, along with Harley Quinn (Robbie), Black Mask (played by Ewan McGregor), and Victor Zsasz (Chris Messina). Word has it the film will finish shooting in April.
