Black Panther Deleted Scene Shows How T’Challa Came To Wear The Suit

Black Panther fresh from it’s crazy box office success will arrive on Blu-ray and digital download from May 15.

As a taster of what to expect Marvel has released one of the movies deleted scenes through EW for fans. The video above shows an extended conversation between T’Challa and Zuri after the ceremony where he was crowned as King of Wakanda. If you’ll remember T’Challa had just spoken to his father T’Chaka in a mystical scene after the latter had already been killed in Captain America: Civil War.

It does answer the question of why even though T’Chaka was still King of Wakanda during Civil War, it was his son T’Challa wearing the Black Panther suit and running faster than cars.

As the scene shows, T’Chaka had asked his son to don the Black Panther armour as he felt he was too old to be the King and the protector of Wakanda.

T’challa says

“When he told me he was too old to wear the mantle of Panther, he would pass it to me and just be king,”

And Zuri answers

“He told me … he was too fat to fit the suit,”

The film seemed to work out pretty well even with out this neat little scene, but deleted scenes are always fun to watch after the fact.
