Bob Iger Confirms Marvel Studios To Head Up X-Men

With the deal between Disney and Fox now official, it’s the hope of many a fan that we will soon see the X-Men in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In speaking with The Hollywood Reporter, Disney CEO Bob Iger has now confirmed that Kevin Feige and his brilliant team over at Marvel will be taking over the X-Men.

“I think it only makes sense. I want to be careful here because of what’s been communicated to the Fox folks, but I think they know. It only makes sense for Marvel to be supervised by one entity. There shouldn’t be two Marvels.”

While there are other things at stake within the deal, for us nerds the most important part of it was that we could see the X-men, Fantastic Four, and hopefully even Deadpool interact with other MCU heroes such as Iron Man, Captain America, and Scarlett Witch. The X-Men are finally heading home to where they should have always been. It’s a shame this deal couldn’t have happened long ago, however, if it did, there’s no way to know the effects it would have had on the MCU, whether they turned out ot be positive or negative, it definitely would have changed the MCU as we know it.
