After being cancelled by the Fox network last year, a petition began amost immediately to save Brooklyn 99 from a fate one to many shows had suffered. Not long after the show was given new life by NBC as well as a final season to wrap things up.
The heroes of the 99th precinct are set to return next month. The show revolves around the unusual antics of the officers of the precinct, led by child-like detective, Jacob Peralta, played beautifully by Andy Samberg. Below you can find a clever teaser for the show’s upcoming sixth season, which juxtaposes Brooklyn 99’s sillyness with the seriousness of Law and Order.

Funny cops? Not the most original idea for a television show, but Samberg and company make it work well enough to have survived several seasons with their own unique brand of comedy.
Along with Samberg the show stars Terry Crews as Lieutenant Terry Jeffords as well as Melissa Fumero, Stephanie Beatriz, and Joe Lo Truglio as detectives Amy Santiago, Charles Boyle, and Rosa Diaz. Leading the officers is the near emotionless Captain Raymond Holt played by Andre Braugher. Recurring guest stars such as Craig Robinson and Jason Mantzoukas also help to keep the show fresh.
